Organized crime refers to a group of three people or more that facilitates or commissions serious offences where the motive is financial gain. These offences include gangs, counterfeit cards, etc.
If someone is convicted of committing a crime in association with a gang or other criminal organization, they could be facing charges for two separate crimes and as a result, a very lengthy sentence. For example, if a person is convicted of possession of a gun and committing a crime as part of an organization, the sentences could be served consecutively.
